Ready to Float

Before you float...

  • Be 14 days past your most recent tattoo, spray tan, or minor surgery.  Skin must be healed following surgery.

  • Females experiencing their menstrual cycle the day of their float MUST reschedule their appointments.

  • Those under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to float.

  • Avoid Caffeine, Nicotine or other stimulants at least 6 hours before your float.

  • Avoid shaving, tanning, waxing (or anything that would increase skin sensitivity) the day of your session.

  • Be moderately hydrated, and if hungry eat light 90 minutes prior.

  • Be assured the water is clean.  The Pod filters the entire water in the tank 3-5 times between every user.  The salt content of the tank is so high that bacteria cannot live.  Ultraviolet sanitation and ozone purification keeps the Pod water clean.

What to bring...

Clothes that are easy to change in and out of. Each pod room has a private shower to wash the salt off your skin and out of your hair after your session. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. Towels are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

A case for your contact lenses. You're welcome to wear them while floating, but if you do happen to get salt in your eye, contacts make them much more difficult to rinse out.

We recommend floating nude so as to decrease sensory stimulus. Swimsuits are allowed but not recommended.

We provide complimentary ear plugs should you prefer to keep the water out of your ears. If you choose to float without ear plugs and happen to have some left over water or salt in your ears, a few drops of 1:1 vinegar + rubbing alcohol will clear it all right up! We have Q-Tips here as well.

We have a hair dryer and lotion but you might need a comb/brush and ladies might prefer to have their make up. Whatever makes you feel "real world" ready again!

Begin Your Float!

After a quick shower, you may enter the Float Pod which contains 11 inches of water with 1,000 lbs. of Epsom Salt dissolved inside.

The lid of the pod is on hydraulic arms. It will remain open if you'd like - or simply pull it closed.

Lie back onto the water.  The buoyancy will effortlessly support you.

Once your session has started, you will have control of the lights (one color or multi-colors)  and the music from inside the Pod.  You may turn the lights off to be completely free of sensory stimulus, but the choice is 100% yours.

You can contact the attendant at any time by intercom from inside the pod.

Don't touch your face, but if you inadvertently do, there is a spray bottle of fresh water inside the tank to rinse.

Initially, it may feel awkward and pain or tension may be noticeable, but breathe, relax, and know that it will slowly "float" away.

You will be notified when your float session is over.

Enjoy your private shower and dress. You may dry your hair at the station outside the room.

After you float...

Drink lots of water! Enjoy your complimentary bottle of water following your float.

Be mindful of how you feel hours and days after your float. Do you sleep better? Are you experiencing less pain? Do you just feel lighter and less tense?

The benefits of floatation therapy last long after the float and, the more consistently one floats, the longer the benefits last.

We hope to see you again soon!    Schedule your next float before you leave.
